Molding
From a speculative point of view we can safely assume we are creatures of intelligence, but in the respect of human linear thought. With this mainframe of thinking we have gained unconscious habits as a social creature. The one that stays in thought is the way a person mentally "shops&shapes" though other people. When this is said it is meant as the unconscious decision to gain another's character traits, peculiarities, or oddities. We do so from being conscious of ourselves and others around us. We understand simply that people have different backgrounds and thoughts and personalities. This leads to one picking up language, speech mannerisms, posture, sometimes ideals. In Example person A talks with person B and likes their company, over time they start to pick up on each others slang/language, and reciprocates said words in accordance to their own fashion. This can go along with anyone you've met in your life no matter how big or small of an effect they have had on you, no matter the duration. The people you have met have molded you who you are today, and many people get offended and see this statement in a negative effect. This is merely an objective view, It does not necessarily mean that you are a carbon copy of them but rather you have picked out of them. Your true self has had convictions and beliefs since birth, Similar to an animal instinct, which processes and weeds out the qualities and oddities from your perspective good and bad. Thus you begin to mold yourself to your surroundings and become a social creature, this however is inescapable no matter how you try to fight it. you have spoken to others and you have learned from them from a natural curiosity bound to our human nature whether you accept it or not. You can go to a group or clique and realize this fairly simply, just by listening to their mannerisms in speech or the way the show similar qualities. So in a final summation you mold yourself according to those around you for perspectively good or bad, this which cannot be simplified into "if you socialize with people who are bad, you are bad" rather its a complexity of the human mind mind working with ones own perspective of right and wrong. So you can be social with bad people and be a good person from picking out qualities that are perspectively deemed bad and preventing yourself from picking up said qualities all due to your subconscious reactions and convictions
